The First Peoples Principals of Learning
The First Peoples Principles of Learning is an extremely important document and tool in the hands of teachers. The FPPL allows non-indigenous peoples to see and reflect on the teachings that are important and valued by many indigenous groups. These teachings should be valued and embedded into our curriculum and teaching to better represent the communities that we live in and properly acknowledge and understand the land that we live and work on and the culture of the original people of this land. I also believe that these teachings are valuable in raising our students to be better people; both as individuals and as members of a community and as a part of the planet and protector of her well being.
